The Frisco Music Teachers Association was organized in 2004 in the growing community of Frisco, Texas (north of Dallas). Our members are committed to the highest standards of music instruction. We are affiliated with the Texas Music Teachers Association and the Music Teachers National Association. Our membership includes piano teachers, voice teachers, and teachers of orchestral instruments and organ. We offer study of music theory and music history to further enhance the study of an instrument. Our Goals:
Program: We offer music instruction by degreed teachers, and/or those who are nationally certified in their respective teaching fields. We provide music festivals and recitals that promote positive performance opportunities for music students. We provide recognition and awards for students receiving music instruction. We provide opportunities for competitions, scholarships, and awards at the local, state, and national levels. We maintain a referral list of qualified teachers. We are dedicated to on-going professional growth and development of our teachers through workshops, monthly lectures and conventions. We network with other organizations involved in the arts.
